Documentations
of fortresses are sunk in big scope during the First and Second
World War. Existing documents are distributed in the whole world.
Only few
authentic documents exist. That's a big deficit. Conservation and
cultural, tourist utilisation of monuments cannot be enforced.
The „Transnational Documentation and Inventorisation
Centre for Fortresses“ is specialized on inventory and archive and
it will close
this gap.
During the international INTERREG IIIB project “Baltic
Fort Route” was built documentation and inventories of fortresses
in network BFR
and created long term development function as European archive
centre in the BSR. This centre realizes competent, qualified technical
and
methodical consulting to all questions of inventory and archive
for fortresses in network BFR and in BSR.
It helps the partners in BFR and other fortresses
in procurement of original documents in European archives. It consults
fortresses
with
effective and cheep transactions of inventory's, transference
of best practices, international know-how between science and practice.
It
improves synergies between science and research. TDICF is lasting,
permanent result of INTERREG-project BFR and a big advance in
the
European cooperation.
